Knowsley Hall’s historic grounds offer a hugely diverse, flexible location for filming, whether for a period production or a contemporary piece. The buildings located within the grounds offer stunning architectural range, whilst the landscape includes untouched parkland, pristine lakes, stunning gardens and rolling farmland. The estate has played host to a range of productions, including Hollyoaks, Young Dracula and Coronation Street.

Knowsley Hall and Park are conveniently situated between Manchester and Liverpool, and are easily accessible by motorway. To the left is a selection of images demonstrating the styles and settings which can be realised within Knowsley’s grounds.

Where shall we go to film a wedding sequence for transmission on Christmas day?

It is an important sequence and the location has to be absolutely right. It has to be visual, flexible, accessible, economical, and, last but certainly not least, the staff must be discreet, helpful, attentive, flexible and just plain nice.

Well, I didn’t have to look very far – the director and designer were pretty overwhelmed by the potential on our first visit. We had to look no further in our quest.
