The Hall

We will help you to plan the perfect combination of rooms and spaces to suit your particular day. We have grand stately rooms at our disposal, along with smaller more intimate spaces, terraces and gardens.

In terms of numbers, we can very happily accommodate up to 144 guests during the day and 200 in the evening.

Entrance Hall and Jacobean Room

A fitting introduction to Knowsley, these rooms feature finely carved oak commissioned by the seventeenth Earl in 1912 and houses fine art depicting early-eighteenth century views of the house and park. You will be warmly welcomed with a celebratory drink as you begin what will be a most splendid day.

Grand staircase

The grand staircase not only provides a marvellous photo opportunity, its role is to give the bride her special moment – an intake of breath before sweeping downstairs in true stately style.

The Green Drawing Room

A beautiful room, full of light and recently decorated to recreate its former style. Warm and cosy; this is just the place where guests can take a moment to relax throughout the day.

The Library

This room adds to the atmosphere as you wander past its sumptuous white and gold bookcases which house a rare collection of books on natural history sourced by the thirteenth Earl. The stunning fireplace offers up a truly striking photo opportunity.

The Walnut Drawing Room

This panelled room is a favourite. It is spacious, comfortable, elegant and alive with country house charm. Enjoy the view of the gardens as you wander from guest to guest or take a breath and relax on the splendid sofas and armchairs.

The Stucco Ballroom

Created in the eighteenth century, this room really is testament to the romantic era. With the most intricate stucco workmanship in gold leaf, opulent ceiling detailing and ornate fireplaces it is the perfect environment to exchange vows.

Then later on it takes on a less sedate role as it is just the place to party. The sprung dancefloor, the acoustics, the sense of great stately balls in centuries past; it all adds to the atmosphere as you dance the night away. We are very happy to help organise a DJ, band or other live entertainment to suit your tastes.

The State Dining room

Through giant solid oak doors you’ll be welcomed in as the newlyweds. This room is truly exquisite. With walls full of family portraits, an antique gold chandelier and original fireplaces you’ll feel you are in distinguished company whilst revelling in the occasion.
